Sarah Bentley - Play Therapy in Chippenham, Wiltshire and the surrounding areas
Welcome to my Play Therapy website.

Sometimes children and adults too, may struggle to cope with issues they face in their lives. Life experiences may manifest themselves in disruptive or uncharacteristic behaviour.

Play Therapy can help children and adults to overcome such issues as:-
• Anger/aggression/ tantrums/  violent behaviour
• Withdrawn behaviour
• Low self esteem
• Wetting/ soiling/ smearing
• Difficulties with relationships (parents, siblings, peers, teachers)
• Difficulties with concentration/ motivation
• Disturbed sleep patterns
• Eating disorders
• Lying/stealing
• Phobias
• Tearfulness
• Avoidance of School
• Separation anxiety

Play Therapy  uses sand, puppets, art and craft materials, stories and clay!
Play Therapy can be  used when other “talking therapies” do not work as play is a childs natural way of self expression.
Play Therapy can help people to communicate their feelings and experiences in a non verbal, non-judgmental and respectful way.

"For Children to 'play out' their experiences and feelings is the most natural dynamic and self-healing process in which children can engage"  Landreth (1991)

“Often the hands know how to solve a riddle the mind has wrestled with in vain”
Carl Jung
